Description:
Erect, spreading shrub, 1-2 m high, commonly branching from the ground and often wider than tall. Phyllodes thick, rigid, broad, 1-veined, light green, 2-5 cm long by 1-3 cm wide. Golden yellow, globular flower heads, solitary (not in racemes) on short stalks (1-2 cm long) in leaf axil. September to February (spring to summer). Brown, flat (raised over seeds), relatively broad pods, 2.5-5 cm long by 1 cm wide. Summer (December to January).

Restricted to coastal areas of the southern Yorke Peninsula and south-western Eyre Peninsula (annual rainfall 200-500 mm). Also occurs in WA.

Notes:
Endemic to SA. Associated with coastal dune or Coastal Mallee (Eucalyptus diversifolia) vegetation. May be confused with Acacia brachybotrya.
