Description:
Erect, broom-like, silvery, small to medium shrub, 1-2.5 m high. Narrow, opposite, to 1.5 cm long by 1 mm wide, flat on one side, rounded on the other, curved pointed tips, leaf base extending down onto branchlet. White to bluish-purple, tubed (bell-shaped) flowers, approximately 2 cm long, stamens not projecting, 5-rounded lobes, solitary in upper leaf axils. Late winter to late spring. Small, dry, conical, beaked drupe, to 5 mm long. Late summer to early autumn.

Natural Distribution:
Scattered throughout the northern lower rainfall districts of SA including the Northern Lofty, Flinders Ranges, Eyre Peninsula and Murray region. Extends into WA, NSW and Vic. Common to mallee areas.
