Description:
Erect, medium to tall shrub, 1-3 m high, with upright, slender branches. Needle-like, narrow-cylindrical, slender, tapering to a distinctive curved tip, 2-6 cm long by 1 mm wide. Small, creamy-white to pale yellow flowers, in dense, globular, terminal clusters. Late spring to early summer (October to December). Small, light grey to brown, woody capsules, forming dense, globular clusters of 10-15 capsules, containing fine, peppery seed. Throughout the year.

Natural Distribution:
Distributed throughout lower rainfall regions, on sandy soils of dunes and ridges, in all agricultural districts of SA. Extends into WA, Qld, NSW and Vic. Common to mallee areas.
