Description:
Erect shrub to 1 m high. Sharply pointed, flat, to 1.5 cm long. Pink-red, 5-petalled flower. Winter. Spring.
Natural Distribution:
Common to sandy soils of woodlands and mallee on Kangaroo Island, Murray, Northern Lofty, South-East and Southern Lofty. Also in Vic.
Notes:
Two subspecies identified: ssp. bicolor (Kangaroo Island only), ssp. ericoides (other regions). Recorded as endangered in the Northern Lofty region.
