The Northern and Yorke NRM region contains over 1400km of the SA coastline. Typical plant communities you will find along the coast include Mangrove Low Forest (Avicennia marina ssp. marina) in the sheltered bays around Port Pirie and northern Gulf St Vincent, Tall Coastal Shrublands (Olearia axillaris +/- Leucopogon parviflorus +/- Acacia spp. +/- Myoporum insulare) on sand dunes near the coast, and Low Shrublands on exposed rocky cliffs consisting of Acrotriche patula +/- Beyeria lechenaulti +/- Lasiopetalum discolour +/- Leucophyta brownii +/- Scaevola crassifolia.
