Description:
Low compact shrub, 50 cm high. Branches stiff, spiny. Tiny leaflets. Insignificant flowers. Often produces white, cotton-like growths caused by insect infestation. Seeds surrounded by small, circular, papery discs. Late summer to winter.
Natural Distribution:
Common to clay soils of irregularly inundated areas in most mainland agricultural districts of SA. In all mainland States and Territories.
Notes:
Is often seen as increasing in areas that have been overgrazed. Recorded as either vulnerable, rare or uncommon in most agricultural districts of SA.
