Description:
Erect, rigid, somewhat untidy shrub, 1.5-3 m high. Long, narrow, linear, stiff, flattened, sharply pointed leaves, with prominent mid-vein, variable length and width, 5-20 cm long by 0.1-1 cm wide. Cream-white flowers, in small clusters in leaf axil. Spring (September to October). Woody, grey, smooth, beaked capsule, in tight clusters, to 1.5-2.5 cm long by 0.5-1 cm side, winged seed enclosed. Throughout the year.

Natural Distribution:
Distributed throughout higher rainfall areas in most mainland agricultural districts of SA (absent from Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula). Does not occur interstate. Common to woodland areas with a prominent heath understorey.
