Description:
Dense, prickly, spreading shrub, 2-3 m high. Phyllodes dark green, often with a wavy surface, 1-2.5 cm long by 3-7 mm wide, 1 central vein, tapering to a short point, often with spines at 'leaf' base. Bright yellow to deep golden, globular flower heads, solitary in leaf axil. Late winter to mid spring (August to October). Cylindrical pods, densely covered in fine hairs, straight to curved, 3-6 cm long by 3-5 mm wide. Summer (December to January).
