Description:
Low, erect shrub, 0.5-1 m high. Light green, 1-3 cm long. Small, male and female flowers, in spikes or clusters. Throughout year. Distinctive, rounded-triangular shape, to 1 cm.
Natural Distribution:
Common to saline wetlands in all agricultural districts of SA. Also occurs in Vic, Tas and WA.
Notes:
Two subspecies identified: ssp. paludosa (Eyre Peninsula, South-East and Southern Lofty regions) and ssp. cordata (all regions).
