Description:

Smooth, shiny, spherical cone, solitary or clustered in groups of 2 or more, approximately 1.5-2 cm in diameter. Summer. Monitor fruits for maturity (greyish, beginning to split) as seasonal conditions determine best time for collection.

Natural Distribution:
Distributed throughout lower rainfall districts (300-400 mm) of SA including the Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Murray region, Kangaroo Island and upper South-East. Extends into WA. Common to mallee areas.
