Description:
Shrub to 1 m high. Fleshy, green above, silvery below, 1-2.5 cm long. Tiny, white flowers in spikes or branched clusters to 15 cm long. Red berries. Late summer to autumn.
Natural Distribution:
Common to coastal and adjacent inland mallee areas in all agricultural districts of SA. Also occurs in WA, NSW, Vic and Tas.
Notes:
Two subspecies: ssp. argentea (Eyre Peninsula), ssp. candolleana.
