Description:
Slender shrub to 1 m high often with reddish branches. Small, fleshy, club-shaped, 2-5 mm long. Small, inconspicuous flowers. 2 mm diameter surrounded by circular papery discs. Late summer to winter.
Natural Distribution:
Common to floodplains, grasslands, mallee and northern arid areas in all mainland districts of SA. In all mainland States.
Notes:
Can be heavily grazed, leaving only sticks with a few leaves standing. Common coloniser of disturbed sites.
