Description:
Erect, silvery-green, medium-sized shrub, 1-2.5 m high, with ascending slender branchlets. Small, erect, semi-cylindrical, 3-8 mm long, ending in a fine hooked tip. Small, solitary, white, 5-petalled flower, 6-10 mm diameter. Spring to summer (September to January). Small, cupular, 3-valved, brown capsules, 4 mm wide, valves open when mature to release fine brown seed. Late summer to early autumn (February to March).

Natural Distribution:
Occurs on sandy rises and dunes of lower rainfall districts of SA including the Northern Lofty, Yorke Peninsula, Murray region, Eyre Peninsula and South-East, extending into NSW and Vic. Common to mallee areas.
