Typically they contain low samphire shrublands or Swamp Paperbark Forest (Melaleuca halmaturorum) near the coast and saline swamps (sometimes with Cutting Grass Gahnia filum sedgelands), and taller Redgum Woodlands (Eucalyptus camaldulensis ssp.), Lignum Shrublands (Muehlenbeckia florulenta) and various aquatic sedgelands along creeks and near freshwater.
