Natural Distribution:
Common to forests, woodlands, mallee and grasslands in all agricultural districts of SA. Also occurs in WA, NSW, Vic and Tas.

Notes:
Other similar flowers are Flatweeds (Hypochaeris spp.) which do not have the drooped head of the bud and have a flat rosette rather than a tuft of leaves at the base. No regional conservation status recorded.
